One of the reasons we founded Palmeira Da Cruz Ecolodge is in… Antwerp!
There, together we bought a charming 1960s villa in a quiet neighborhood of Hoboken. We lovingly rolled up our sleeves and transformed the house into a warm and inviting home.
The spacious kitchen with its island quickly became the heart of the house – a place where we loved to cook, laugh, and spend long evenings with family and friends. Cozy dinners, lovingly set tables, and spending time together became our passion.

From this passion, something even greater developed. And so, 4,650 kilometers from Antwerp, our dream took shape: the Palmeira Da Cruz Ecolodge – an oasis of peace, nature, and hospitality, born from our love of living together, cooking, and enjoying life with breathtaking sea views.

Guy has a true passion for fishing. Where once the North Sea beckoned, the Atlantic now glitters right on our doorstep. On calm days, we set sail in our own fishing boat and fish for a wonderful variety of fresh fish.
We don't buy in any fish – we catch it all ourselves! Every fish is carefully filleted and immediately flash-frozen to perfectly preserve its pure flavor and quality. Enjoy the result in our sashimi, tartare, ceviche, or in delicious grilled and steamed dishes – all with a unique, refined taste.
We combine our dishes as often as possible with homegrown vegetables and herbs directly from our garden.
Our vegetarian lasagna is a feast in itself, prepared with homemade pasta and grilled vegetables.

And then... the desserts! Homemade ice cream, refreshing sorbets and many other treats that will simply make you happy.
We don't have a fixed menu – every evening we surprise our guests with something new, inspired by the catch of the day and what our garden has to offer.
Of course, we are happy to accommodate allergies and vegetarian requests.
In short: fresh, honest and surprisingly delicious – just the way we like it!
But first… the aperitif!
As the sun slowly sinks into the sea, there is nothing better than enjoying a colorful sunset with a refreshing drink in hand.
Depending on the season, we serve sparkling cocktails – with or without alcohol – always with a special touch. Our Gin and Tonic with fresh pink peppercorns or a blossom from our garden is an absolute favorite. Prefer something milder? Then try the Golden Island, our slightly sweet house cocktail. And for those who like it fresh and spicy: For an authentic Caipirinha, we hand-pick the limes in our orchard.
Our wine list has also been carefully curated. We serve only quality wines, including the distinctive Chã wine from the island of Fogo – a true discovery for wine lovers.

We don't serve a buffet, but a personally prepared breakfast – with attention, love and fresh products.
We offer you a rich and complete breakfast every morning, so that you can start the day with pure enjoyment and a smile.
If you wish, you can have an egg prepared to your liking. The fresh tea comes directly from our garden, and the coffee is made from freshly ground beans – fragrant, full-bodied, and wonderfully intense.
There's hardly a better way to start the day.
The frame makes the difference
No matter how delicious a dish tastes, its presentation is just as important. With us, every plate receives the attention it deserves – with an eye for detail, color, and harmony.

The table decorations, the cozy atmosphere, and a touch of romance complete the picture. Together, they create an experience that warms not only the palate but also the heart.
